Mike Klass

Mike joined the NH Office of Strategic Initiatives (OSI) in November 2017 as a Principal Planner to help support the Municipal and Regional Assistance program. His responsibilities include working with local land use board members, municipals officials, and citizens on land use matters in addition to outreach and education for planning and zoning board members.

Prior to joining OSI, Mike was an attorney in private practice, where he focused on land use matters, real estate development, property disputes, and related litigation. As an attorney, Mike regularly appeared before planning and zoning boards where he gained an appreciation for the role local land use boards play in sound and sustainable community development. Before that, he was a law clerk for the Massachusetts Land Court in Boston.  Mike has a B.S. in Watershed Science from Colorado State University (where he was a member of the Cross Country and Track and Field teams) and a J.D. from Vermont Law School.
