JOB DESCRIPTION
The State of New Hampshire, Adjutant General’s Department, has a full time vacancy for
Engineering Technician V (Energy Technician).

To analyze and evaluate the utility and energy needs of the Adjutant General’s Department/New
Hampshire Army National Guard. Performs detailed measures to determine total energy
consumption/efficiency of the Department and provides recommendations for plans or procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Associate’s degree from a recognized college or technical institute with a major study in engineering, hydrology, geology, earth sciences or environmental studies. Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience.

Experience: Seven years’ engineering experience, two years of which shall have been at a level
equivalent to Engineering Technician IV. Each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Certified Energy Manager Certification (CEM). Knowledge of
Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED). Ability to perform technical American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) level energy audits and in-depth level efficiency inspections in the field.
